What Are the Limitations of Paint Protection Film (PPF) in Charlotte, NC?
Paint Protection Film is undoubtedly an incredible product. When selecting a quality film and an experienced installer, the application of a Clear Bra will add value to your vehicle.
That said, the product can be oversold and overpromised by some manufacturers and installers. In order to be an informed consumer, it’s important for you to know what Paint Protection Film does not do.
Paint Protection Film is not bullet-proof
The urethane film of a Clear Bra is incredibly strong and impact resistant. That being said, it does not have super-powers. It can be damaged by a particularly strong force.
Paint Protection Film is not maintenance-free
Long-term automotive paint protection is never a one-stop solution. The road is a dirty place. Your film will get dirty. If you let dirt, bird-droppings, or bug-splatter sit on your car’s film, you will shorten the film’s life. You will still need to wash your car regularly in order to maintain its look and maximize the value of the film.

What About Yellowing, Blistering, or Peeling?
If you’ve done some reading around the Internet, you may have encountered individuals documenting defects that have appeared in their Clear Bra, specifically yellowing, blistering, or peeling.
