In the State of North Carolina it is illegal to have your windows tinted darker than 35% transmittance for passenger cars. We are often asked to remove window tint from cars that have failed North Carolina state inspection for being too dark. Some of these folks have moved here from other states where the limits are different, for folks who are reapplying the film we offer a discount for the removal of the window film.

We frequently get folks who live in neighboring South Carolina cities like Forth Mill and Rock Hill who come in to have their windows tinted so it makes sense to state here that the State law for window tinting in South Carolina is for passenger cars to be tinted no darker that 27% light transmittance .
