The Many Challenges For Running A Customer Driven Business
Here at Brian's Exclusive detail we are driven to not only please our clients but to exceed their expectations that takes a lot of hard work. So when we get a call and its a job we are not best suited for we kindly refer that prospect to another firm we believe be better able to meet their needs, some times we have no recommendations. Yesterday I had a call from a prospect who wanted to have had the headliner of his car replaced, well we do not offer that service but I was able to track down a service provider for him and got them connected, there was no immediate benefit in this situation other than seeking to serve. Service is something that I believe in and seek to serve in as many ways as I can. Well last week I had a prospect call up and ask us to complete a window tint job that he had started without great success, he now wanted us to quote him over the telephone to complete the remaining portion of the job. Well I tried as professionally and politely as I knew how to tell him "That is not a job we are interested in completing" well he was offended and exercised his right to tell the world that we refused flat out to serve him. In a follow up conversation with another prospect who informed me that this fellow had written a negative review about our business he suggested that I should have quoted this other guy the full amount to do the job even though I would have been doing only a fraction. That would have perhaps saved us a negative review but still would not have been the right thing to do. Its hard to win but we are committed to providing the best possible service we can.
