Convertible roof cleaning and protection

 

 
 
 
Convertibles are great fun especially at summer time, even though some people enjoy them beyond summer. Most times than not the purchase of a convertible represents a milestone in the life of its owner.
As with any product you get the most out of it when you give it proper care. Convertible roofs should never be cleaned with abrasive chemicals or harsh brushes. In fact most owners manual will recommend that you not clean it with any “soap”. While this may be so there are many instances when a convertible roof needs to be cleaned .
Bird droppings and other deposits makes it necessary to clean your convertible roof. In these instances proper care must be taken to ensure that the texture of the fabric and its color remains intact. The use of a product designed to clean the roof without bleaching and a brush that will not distrub the texture of the fabric is recommended.
 
 
Following the cleaning of your convertible roof and when it is dry I recommend the application of a premium sealant that has water repellant capability.
With proper care your convertible roof can look beautiful for many years to come.
