Permanent Paint Flaw

 

 

 

Most people lead very busy or tunneled lives. We focus on that which is important to us and that’s just the way it is. Well I got a call recently from an individual who wanted me to help resolve some issues with a cars paint work. I requested to have the car in for an evaluation and found myself being very sad at what I saw. This one year old luxury car had what appeared to have been tree sap fall on it in multiple areas( magnified area shown in image above) and had been allowed to sit there for an extended period. Resulting in permanent damage to the surface. This will now cost a few thousand dollars to have a quality repaint job done.
 

This situation could have been avoided all together with a basic washing of the vehicles painted surfaces earlier. Secondly while wax or any other paint sealant would not have held up under the circumstance, if this individual was in the habit of waxing the vehicles paint it is possible it would have resulted in a greater level of vigilance.
