Interior Deatailing By Brian's Exclusive Detail

Last Saturday I had a client in for an interior detail on her vehicle. She declared “now I do smoke “as she exited her car for me to take possession of it. The smell of the vehicles interior confirmed this as did the ash tray. Outside of that there were no other immediate clues.
The cups above tell a different story. The one on the left contains extract from the vehicles headliner (inside roof) while the other shows the content from the seats carpet and floor mats.
I have often stated the importance of having a vehicles interior shampooed at least twice a year. We most times than not, wash or dry clean our clothes after each use. However our car seats that takes a lot more than our clothing is often ignored. Well lurking in your vehicles interior are substances that needs to be extracted. Consider the fact that your car may have been bought used you are carrrying around and breathing some else’s funk.
An interior shampoo should involve much more than a wipe down with rags and a cleaner. In our shop we use a hot water heat extracting upholstry and carpet cleaner. This is aided by experience and a range of chemicals and compressed air. We also use an additional over head light to boost visibility among other tools.
